Why “Travel Sketches” on a marine website? Fair question! The fact is
that we all need a change of pace from time to time. Much of my painting
consists of detailed easel painting. For a refreshing change, I greatly enjoy doing little seven-inch by ten-inch watercolor sketches wherever I travel, near or far. I carry a small watercolor set of pan colors with a few brushes small enough to fit in my pocket. I usually finish these little paintings in one or two hours, and treasure them as my memory of a time and place. I include some of them here for your enjoyment. |

Sketches are best viewed on an LCD monitor or a bright CRT monitor.
